Beyond Havana
The Cuba that exists outside Havana moves at a different pace — quieter, less performed, less aware of being watched. In Matanzas, Cienfuegos and Trinidad, the color is just as vivid and the lives just as full, but the distance from the capital creates a kind of ease that's harder to find in the city. This is where you start to understand that Havana is only one version of the story.
